Housing stability takes more than a lease.

When you live paycheck-to-paycheck, even a small unplanned expense threatens your ability to pay rent.

Through eviction prevention services, healthcare access, and ongoing housing support, we help renters stay in their homes through unexpected crises, breaking the cycle of instability.

We provide the support people need to stay in their homes.

Once housing is lost, it can be incredibly difficult—and costly—to get it back. And housing stability depends on more than simply making rent. A health crisis, an unexpected expense, a problem with a landlord, or difficulty accessing food and other basic needs can quickly put a household at risk.

Our eviction prevention services help renters address a housing crisis before it becomes homelessness. We work with tenants and landlords to resolve problems, preserve tenancies whenever possible, and provide financial assistance when an unexpected hardship puts housing at risk.

For families living paycheck to paycheck, a health problem can become a housing problem too—disrupting work, straining already-tight budgets, and making it harder to stay stable. Our health outreach staff conducts in-home visits, helps families enroll in insurance, and connects them with primary and preventive care.

We also provide ongoing housing support, including landlord-tenant mediation, help managing rent and household bills, guidance around lease expectations, and connections to community resources such as food assistance, public benefits, and other services.

Ending homelessness before it begins.

“Each month I felt like I had to decide between eating dinner and paying rent. Then my daughter got sick and needed a prescription. I choose to pay for the prescription and almost ended up nursing her back to health on the street. Finding Project Home not only kept us in our apartment, it helped us all take care of our health. We could never have gotten to the stable place we are today without them.”
